    who have I become?

who have I become? To not care about the people who care about me, that I treat them with such hate, who have I become that my children don't respect what comes out of my mouth, who have I become that my partner doesn't care whether i stay or go. i know what i have become, a fool with childish dreams that will never come true and in the middle of it all i have hurt the one's near and dear to me. i know what i have become now i know what i must do to became the person i use to be before i had my childish dreams, and that would be a better listener to my partner, kids and friends so they know the can count on me once again and never to make them my foe ever again.

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
