I see your tired eyes drowning in sorrow
I see the hole in your hands that let go of your dreams
I hear your thoughts oh how they shake and rattle
All you want to do is lie in peace
Your skin is under their nails and you're bleeding
They have their foot on the back of your neck and you're sinking
Your blistered lips mumble words no one is hearing
All you want to do is lie in peace
Oh how long must you be enslaved by the enemy?

The grains of sand are ticking so slowly
You wonder if tomorrow will bring you your sleep
I take another look at you so slowly and realize that the mirror is staring at me
