Love Hurts

All this time I couldn't see
That you and me will never be.
Many times you told me before
I didnt want you to walk out that door.
Now Im sitting here with a broken heart
What you said tore me apart.
But I still love you til this day
That I felt really good to say.
Im sorry that you ever met me
Im sorry you're the only one who makes me happy.
I will always love you that's a fact
No one in the world can ever change that.
It hurts that I love you stacks and stacks
But it hurts even more that you don't love me back.

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.

John F. Kennedy (1917-1963) Thirty-fifth President of the USA
