    Your

I was far away when you said goodbye,
I couldn't see you and was left with a sigh.
In my heart you will always remain,
Memories of old will be felt in pain.

    A sudden occurrence I couldn't control,
Like a ball, down the hill it rolled.
Not a moments notice was given,
In my eyes the truth was hidden.

    How could it be so?
Couldn't talk to you anymore - no!
    My mind couldn't quite comprehend,
What a shock it had been.

    Three long months had passed,
Didn't think last year would be the last.
Tears fill my eyes when I think of you,
Hope you know that I love you.

Poetry is not a turning loose of emotion, but an escape from emotion.

    T. S. Eliot (1888-1965) American-English poet and playwright.
