    ??????????????

    The smiles of your heart and those of mine,
    Have reached the same plateau which is far better than fine.
    Yesterday, today, and now every tomorrow
    Will be happier still without any sorrow.
    Our lives now have met at a crossroads of life.
    There will be no regrets, angry moments, or strife.
    The friendship we have brings both of us pleasure;
    Encouragement and warm hugs are our intimate treasures.
    A personal paradise of sorts that no one can change.
    This personal paradise of which only a few can enter.
    All of our goals, dreams, and desires have come to the center.
    It now seems so simple what happened at first;
    A very special friendship that has no more thirst.
    Each day we make sure to continue along,
    But not everyone knows the words to our song.
    We try to be bold as days grow to weeks.
    Both of us solace in each other we seek.
    The miles maybe long with an ocean between.
    However, despite all the obstacles, we are quite a TEAM.
    We listen, we cry, we laugh and we share.
    Knowing our friendship will truly be there

    All of us look for that genuine connection and it appears that one was made in this piece. The concept was very good. At times the rhyme was predictable but that did not take away from the power of what the piece is saying. Thanks for sharing Shelly.

    It is one of life's treasures to find such a friend. I can understand the pain when one has moved far away. May your reunion be soon.

    A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.

    Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
