Biography

for fellow new members friends and new friends

( this is long, but it doesnt take much time to read)
the site updates move pretty fast here,
if you notice the friends activity button on your home page. for new members like myself this is handy tool to find friends new postings as they post a new poem
, find out who is reading, who is writing and a whole lot of information.

Welcome to the site.. ( from just another member here.. )

thanks for the add to your friends list..
if you are new to the site enjoy

I suggest you read the terms of service..(at the bottom of the home page.)

About chat etc
there are folks of all cultures and various ages coming into chat : posting and reading poems and other postings in here..
please be conciderate of that in chat and in your comments.
in my few weeks here i have seen only one member under a few different usernames exhibit cyberbullying..
if you are offended by anyones attitude in chat use the ignore function and dont escalate their ignorance. if stalked harassed or bullied, report them to your local police cyber bullying is a crime.
this is a new site, i have great hopes that all and myself enjoy, learn, expand our skills
and appreaciate all who post, no matter their race, age, language, skill levle or cultural contex

to get to someones poems from chat:
left click on the name in the room list of the poet you want to read select view profile. this will open up a new window with their profile page in it, from there you can view their poems, from newest to oldest posting, select on a poem and read.
rate and comment if it is set by the poet for both, just comment if it is not set for rating
(suggestion, rate poems only if you like the poem, if you disagree with the content, dont bother rating or commenting, plenty of other poems, prose and postings in here to find somthing you like

in chat left clicking on somones name will give you options to:
ignore that person
private message that person
report the person as being inapproperate
go to their profile

The best way to get your postings read is to:
post the url of your poem(found at the bottom of each page of your poems) copy and paste this link in the forums, in the chat rooms
and the most effective way is to read, rate and comment, on others postings, (copy the url of your poems in there too(lol)

.
i have a pretty much standardised way of reading other poets here
i read all their postings first
then i read their bio.
then i go back and comment on all their postings and rate them, ballancing their individual poems etc, aginst their general style, and their bio

read rate and comment is the best way to go, for me at least
if i dont like the poems subject matter, i wont use those points in my rating or comment
I prefer to read all your poems at once so I can rate your style too.
Add me to your friends list (if i am not already there, so i can access more than just a single posting.
I will be posting fresh poems in may-june 2009.. be sure to comment as i can get back to you faster than sorting through the rest of the site..

National Poet Lauriet ,National Judge Advocate,(in old poets.com site)
(the site died after they changed it, a lot of wonderful poets didnt renew their membership,(poetry.com was just a rip off.)
Poet Lauriet,Judge Advocate (in the new poets.com site)
after reading and rating and commenting on each of the writers postings
i will leave my general observations as to style and suggestions etc
my own style isnt "free style and is explained in the comment i hung on my poem If the world were a bed.
also.(also you can add me to your friends list if you wish, (the friends list i use as a tool to find poets i am in process of read, rate and reviewing.. so get on it if you would like me to read your writings (i would be honored to do so)
thank you
