A change in me

When I wake in the morning I see threw new eyes. I see happiness and optimism instead of hurt and despair. My head is clear, I feel ready to take on the world. My drive to beat the odds has pushed the depression out of my life. I feel free; I feel as if I were reborn into the same body but given the power to over come my barriers. Nothing will stand in my way of achieving my goals and chasing my dreams. I am a new person. I am a strong willed person. Despite all the heartache, I will persevere. I will not give up; I must improve my life so I can prove to myself I am independent. I must improve me, so I can give my children everything they deserve.

With each passing day my passion for life grows stronger and stronger. My dream is to share my passion for life with everyone and pray my energy rubs off on those who are still living in a slump of depression. I have been blessed with a second chance at life and I will not let it go to waist. I have a guardian angle watching over my life. I feel safe and confident. In my heart I new I was given this life for a purpose, I now feel I was given the obstacles I had to overcome so I could teach others how to overcome their own obstacles.

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
