    A Cold Winter Night

In a cabin during a cold winter storm
    Yet it is still cold
I look outside and see a white winter snow
Whose color covers everything I know
I need warmth to keep alive
but I am alone with no one to hold
what keeps me alive is the beautiful snow
As I watch the snow fall I think of my life
and wonder why I am alone
but with God by my side I will live through this lonely fight
As I sleep during this cold winter night.
