A Cry In The Wilderness

A Cry In The Wilderness

There is a cry in the wilderness
a longing from the soul.

There is a cry in the wilderness
a hunger that just won't unfold.

There is a cry in the wilderness
a pouring out of the soul;
a place where the hurt is
so deep, no one understand
till you been their.

Than you can reach beyond the
hurt that was embedded in your
thirst and pour back into that life
where hope was dim and bleak.

Bring light to the far front of that
dark and lonely wilderness.

Then you can say, I use to be
that cry in the wilderness.

Poetry is finer and more philosophical than history; for poetry expresses the universal, and history only the particular.
