A Dream Fulfilled

A Dream Fulfilled

In a dark room she cries

She drowns in her miseries

She sits alone crying in between her knees

She doesn’t know why,

But she can’t get you out of her head.

She wished she wasn’t alive

She wished she was never born

She wished she could just die

All because her heart was torn.

Her life was a dark and gloomy place

She didn’t want to see anyone’s face

Her life became her hell

And all she could do was YELL!

One day she wrote a note

Telling her family and friends she loved them

She said she would never forget them when she left

She told them not to cry

She told them this is why

“I lived my life in a fake world full of people that were fake to me, they told me they loved me when they didn’t mean it, they said ‘I love you’ but I knew they lied because loved ones don’t deceive you in a way you can’t imagine. I wish I could live a happy life that my family wanted me to live. I wish I could fulfill my dreams to be happy, but I just can’t do it. So if all who do love me and have always loved me like you said, then come to my funeral, and cry for me, cry on my death bed, but if you don’t care about me then don’t show up pretending you liked me.”

She hung herself that night

She only wanted someone to hold her tight.

She wanted someone to wipe away her tears

And to fight away all her fears.

Her wish came true,

She was up in heaven

Looking down on us,

Saying “I love you.”

Since we are now friends maybe you can be my dream fufilled, I really like this poem maybe we could record this into a song I used to write for Motown and produce, also Capitol Records , and a few others grecowong@yahoo.com

If I feel physically as if the top of my head were taken off, I know that is poetry.

Emily Dickinson (1830-1886) American poet.
