    A Half Life Alone

A life alone is only half a life,
A joy alone is only half enjoyed,
A sorrow alone is doubled pain,
Life is an event to be shared
with someone special again and again.

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.
