    A HEROES LOVE

    Just another illusion, another apparition
    A trickster in disguise
The ghost of your touch felt so real
Your kiss so tender and deep
Just a fading dream in the mist

    Your Love cannot sustain
    Your passion turned to lust
and you cant keep up with my heart
does it scare you, a love so deep
    so tender, so true?

My heart is not a game to be played
My passion is strong and true
Can you keep up with my Love
Can you open your heart enough?

    True Love is for heroes
    Sex is a cowards game
    Empty moves of cheap affection
    To fill a temporary imperfection
and does it sustain you living life this way?
Cheating your heart with the games you play?

My Love is for a hero
To Him I will give my All
The depths of my soul and heart will sustain
Every dream and desire to name
With Him I would lay for eternity
A heroes love, my sweet fantasy....

OK, I absolutely love this poem, I understood it to be the difference between love and lust. The author would not settle for the second. A very brave person in the day where both exists, but you can't always tell what you are gettings.....fantastic poetry.

If I feel physically as if the top of my head were taken off, I know that is poetry.

    Emily Dickinson (1830-1886) American poet.
