A Letter To God

I cried for days when I heard the news
Wondering why and what to do
I got on my knees and began to pray
And sent a letter to God today
I wanted help saving someone's soul
I didn't care what cost was the toll
She does not seem to understand
How she has touch others across the land
Why can't she see the happiness she gives
That alone is a big reason to live
There are others who are also concerned
Hoping her health doesn't take a turn
With a new nephew to meet one day
Why would she want to go away
Please God don't take her from us
It seems so unfair and so unjust
Help us to help her open her eyes
For if she was to leave we would all die
It would probably tear our family apart
Causing more pain deep down in our hearts
So tell me God please what do I do
Take me instead to hang out with you
She may not believe that we all care
But some of us will always be there
