A Lost Soul Seeking Life

Sitting behind these white prison walls,
thinking about life and where it went worng.
All you can do is think about the past,
and figure out a way to have the last laugh.
I'm gaining weight and I'm throwing it around,
every single day my feet touch the ground.
God's blessed me in more than one way,
and in due time you learn you got to pay.
Joe tried to reach me when no one else could,
only to find out that he really understood.
Now I sit here in Plain State Jail,
messing up my life and heading striaght to hell.
You people think it's funny and so did I,
until I finally realized I was living one big lie.
I've learned from my mistakes and it's time to move on,
keeping my head up and praying to stay strong.
Keep your mind focused on what you want to do,
then you'll finally see that it worked for you too.
Thank you God for all that you've done,
you didn't give up and I'm sure it wasn't fun.

If I feel physically as if the top of my head were taken off, I know that is poetry.
