A Memories Letter

Dear Cinderella

Will your Love follow me
“yes love”

Fear and fighting

Fallujah is an ugly place

Thank the LORD you know not what I’ve done here

Nor see the things here

EXPLOSION

I’m still alive, the only one

Bodies all round

Shock

BURST of fire

What have I done

Taken a mothers child from this world

I tell myself I had to

This is war

Combat

Your Love is all that matters to me

What gets me through this place

O Cinderella how I Love you

A call to you

“We’re through”

Heart stops

My world just ended

Trapped in the sunset of that day

O Cinderella you just did what the enemy couldn’t

Broke me

I’m talking to myself

Left alone

Prisoner to the memories

Of the war

Of you

I truly don’t know what’s worse to bear

People can’t see me

Just the pieces left of me

I’m unknown

I Loved you Cinderella

Great written, just won't to say as strong as you is in written. I no your strong in the mind and heart. I speak strength in your life on today.Amen

Poetry is not an expression of the party line. It's that time of night, lying in bed, thinking what you really think, making the private world public, that's what the poet does.
