    A QUEER QUEEN

    You misheld that faith of yours
    And disdained this shrine--my heart
    So ordained I one quiet queen;
    Yet often I scour the shrine
    For faithful queens who there pray
    Not hideous hawks which there prey
    And behold you--a queer queen.

    Great play of words... and storytelling. I had to read and reread to get a clearer understanding, but I enjoyed the depth of emotion and the strength you seem to have gained from your unfortunate experience.

    Poetry is what is lost in translation.
