    A river of silence

    A river of silence

    a river of silence
    flows in me
to an ocean where waves never roar
    a current of love
    a riptide - no less
    a sense of above
    so vast and serene
    a feeling so deep
    it’s almost obscene
I feel the sea surge in me

as I sit in this space
    an ear to ear grin
    spreads
    up from the south
    across my chin
to my mouth and invades my whole face
    with an …………
    amazing grace

    as I go within
    I’m a cloud carried song
    whose message ignites
    a flame for the masses
    to see
all the fire and the smoke
    has re-kindled the hope
    we don’t die

    we live endless-ly

    dawn defies darkness ending night
    laughter meets fear
    ocean and shoreline collide
    a man and woman play
their flame from a small spark ignites

    love is set free
    ideas ride shoreward
    on waves of love
    where thought marries soul
    then laws will fade
    then all will know
a more simple way to be

This is a very unique poem. Stylistically it is very expressive and the flow, although somewhat choppy, carries you along throughout the poem.

The true philosopher and the true poet are one, and a beauty, which is truth, and a truth, which is beauty, is the aim of both.

Ralph Waldo Emerson, American Poet (1803-1882)
