    a shame

    What a shame-
    your to blind to see.
    The neverending love
    you could've had with me.

    What a sad ending
    to a perfect dream.
    A perfect life together-
    That will never be.

You were the one to make me
    truly try to be-
    a better kind of person
    a better kind of me.

    With my eyes wide open
    I could finally see.
    A life we'd have together
    The forever we could be.

    I finally learned to trust
    learned how to beleive.
Then your life and your fears-
    changed you-- unexpectadely.

    I felt pain
    like never before.
    My dreams were all shattered
as you showed me the door.

    Now you've come back
with a new set of rules.
    Taking me as your lover
    Taking me as your fool.

I said yes to your proposition
    yes to your demands.
    Anything it took-
    to feel those loving hands.

But now each day passes slowly-
    slower than the first.
Because I long for you to yearn me-
    long to quench your thirst.

    I fear I'll wait forever
    and you'll still never see
The way that I adore you-
The love you found in me.

In time I'll need to leave this
    leave our love behind.
cuz this is not your heart breaking-
    each day-- it's only mine.

    What a shame
    you couldn't see-
    The neverending love
    you could've had with me.
