SINNER LIKE ME

 A

For God so loved the world, he gave his only begotten son,

But how can this be for a sinner like me.

Jesus said that he will give you peace that surpasses all understanding,

But how can this be for a sinner like me.

Jesus said that whatever you ask of in my name ye shall receive,

But how can this be for a sinner like me.

Jesus said that by his stripes we are healed,

But how can this be for a sinner like me.

Jesus said that you will receive riches and glory if you abide in me.

But how can this be for a sinner like me.

It can be for a sinner like me because my savior says that in Romans10:9 That  if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.

And because I believe with my whole heart and have confessed with my mouth hallelujah I am saved.

No longer a sinner like me because his word says in 2nd Corinthian 5:17

That if any man be in Christ he is a new creature old things have passed away behold all things have become new.

So to all the sinners just like me you to can be saved just like me confess with your mouth, give him his praise, believe in your heart that Jesus was raised. You can be a new creature and have all the riches and glory. He will heal you and your prayers will be answered, you are saved. To all the sinners just like me.

Poetry is not an expression of the party line. It's that time of night, lying in bed, thinking what you really think, making the private world public, that's what the poet does.
