A vision of love

A vision of love

She comes to him
in twilight shadows

Sweet scent of rose
from nearby meadows

Surrounds her quiet
child like nature

Demure and soft
is her stature

Behind the mask
of mirrored glass

Lost soul of love
smiles from her past

her aching heart
longs for him much

but she must live
without his touch

Sound like the woman with the deadly touch. She loved a man but could not touch. They lived forever without ever touching each other. Truly splendid poem!!! Job well done!!!

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
