    Absolutely

My heart beats I like to

    A Magritte painting evoking mystery

    yet I conceal nothing

A calm man in his shorts fiddling

    With an open box

    There. And there again.

Leery eyes chart the course of my pen

    Maneuvered by an awkward heart

    Rippling

On an ocean that breathes magic dust

    To sneeze another life in

    Labyrinths of my wake

    I drink to

    His explosion and when intoxicated

    Should I mutter more

I turn off the box, listening

    Smelling his skin

And watch a family of testudines

With their polished toes on the finish line

Your words are like dreams falling from your tongue, like swans floating on clouds; I fall into your ink and swim like a streak of light through rain.

very nice! wonderful rhythm and graphic imagery. what is "testudine"?

Poetry is not a turning loose of emotion, but an escape from emotion.

    T. S. Eliot (1888-1965) American-English poet and playwright.
