Alone With My Thoughts

Alone With My Thoughts

I walk after midnight alone in my thoughts,
it's a place I know so well. For I have been they many times,
a place of neither time or place, nothing but empty space.

I sit alone in the dark in my thoughts and that's a scary place
you see. For you are not there with me.

I lay here alone in my thoughts but that's a place I'll no longer
be, for soon you shall be with me and neither shall be alone
anymore. Just you wait and see.

Again lonely is such a hard place to be in life, but sometimes dreams of a lost love make it worse.

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
