ALONE
I stand expressionless,
before the alter of God
Wondering what it was dat led me this far....
For i had believed i was over you,
and my life a better place now.
I looked around,
Happy faces and smiles i see.
Oh, if only they knew this painful truth,
One that's fast killing the last of me
Oh, the agonies of self denial.....
But could anyone understand this?
Seeing you seated there,
Wish i could read your mind
but you and i know the reason u're here,
to rip my soul apart with those eyes.
YES, you have succeded,
Does that make you happy?
but i'm not going back,
Not now,
Not ever,
Now u're truly alone.
