    Amanda

When you were about 10 years old
    And moved from Hope, BC
You started at a brand new school
And met a girl called Stacey

She showed you all the things to do
And took you here and there
Stacey liked to care for you,
    together you went everywhere

Sometimes you would come to our house
And play, and talk and chat
Never were you a timid mouse
    I’m sure everyone knows that

    Infectious laughter, great big smile
And hair as red as the sun
    Laughing, giggling all the while
    Always having so much fun

When you left school and moved away
    We never saw you much
We knew that you’d be back someday
And it was good to keep in touch

    We love you Dear Amanda
Just one more thing to do
And that’s to say we thank you
    Thank You for being You
