An Instrument in Your Hands

An Instrument in Your Hands

LORD, I want to be
An instrument in Your hands.
Yielded to You, LORD
When things I don’t understand.

When I stand alone,
Your song cannot leave my heart.
Relying on You,
I’ll sound as You breathe my part.

Now Your song I share,
My heart surrendered to You
Control my life, LORD,
Please breathe everything I do.

Filled now with your love,
Let Your music flow through me.
I’ll share Your joy,
With those who will come to Thee.

Amen to that! That's how I feel.

Poetry is not the expression of personality but an escape from personality.

T. S. Eliot (1888-1965) American-English poet and playwright.
