Angel Of Death

Angel Of Death

You knew it would hurt me

I told you it would

It put me on my knees

I still can’t believe you could…

When you cross my mind I get weak and I lose my breath

Don’t take that as a compliment, trust me, it means much less

You’re like a lead weight on my chest

Yeah you are the reason I am so depressed

People tell me I need to forget you

Don’t you think I wish I could say goodbye to you

They say it will get better over time

But I’m getting sick of hearing that nursery rhyme.

All I can see is your face in the dark

Are you the angel of death, do I carry the mark

It is hard to get over tremendous hurt. Until you do a person has control over you like a puppet on a string. You've become the puppet and the strings are pulled by your own emotions. We teach people how to treat us. Don't let anyone steal your joy

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.

Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
