    Another Broken Heart

    She chokes on her tears
    As they sting her cheek
    Sobbing in the dark
    Longing for much needed sleep.

A relationship has come and past
This is the one she had hoped would last.

    Her feelings toward him
    Never fading, never dying
    No matter what happened
He seemed worth all the crying

How could she allow this to end?
How long will it take for her broken heart to mend?

    Waiting for a call
    She sits alone, and waits
Wishing there was something to heal
    Her ever-growing heartache

    Franz Kafka (1883-1924) Czech writer.
