    Painful Healing

    Seeing him all the time,
    Coming up with rhymes,
She wants to let go, but she can't

Being in school with him in her classes
Her eyes bloodshot from crying, she wants sunglasses
    To veil her subconscious feelings

    The look on her face
    And her slow pace
    Tell her sad story well

    She still loves him
    Therefore he's forgiven
But in her heart she wonders why

If its not supposed to be this way,
Why does she want to stay
By him for the rest of her life?

With the world on her side,
    All the times she's cried,
Why can't she just let him go?

Poetry is not the expression of personality but an escape from personality.
