Anticipation
A feeling of excitement
Then a squeezing of the heart
Followed with a smile
And then a thought to play it smart
A longing to hear your voice
Then a dismissal all the same
Not knowing what stands behind
The feeling when I say your name
The option of a trusted friend
Who has seen your eyes before
The searching of a key
Of a hearts locked door
Something to look forward to
Not knowing where it ends
The beginning of a true love
Or the binding of good friends
Taking chances on the thought
That it could all workout great
Knowing all reality
But still trusting in fate
