    Anything For You

I would've done anything for you
I would've gone anywhere with you
If you had only asked it of me
I would've given it all up for you
All you had to do was just ask
    My soul would've been yours
    Just for that

Happy endings are just for fairytales
    Real dreams don't come true
But just for a moment you had me believing you
    Believing in fairytales

But those dreams, they die hard
    Now I'm leaving you
    They will never come true
    Now that you're gone
    You're gone away

Now I'm right back to where I started
    Back before you and me
Now those dreams, they fade away
    Just like that
    Just like that

Here I would've done everything for you
But now my heart is on the floor
I still believe we could've made it baby
But now I guess we'll never know

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.

    Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
