As it Goes

As it Goes

The days are getting unbearable and the nights, forgettable

Time is passing me by

I can see it escape

Taking with it my incandescence, the light that illuminates my spirit

Day by day it gets less and less

I want to save it but my motivation is non existent

Drained of my fight

I believe I am forced to be stuck with my plight

How I wish I could escape with the time

Get lost in it’s nothingness

Ever fleeting

Always moving

Standing still for no one

What a change that would be

For the statue that is me

As women we struggle to find our place in the world often....we stumble and fall....but we get back up....like the song says..."A saint is just a sinner who fell down....and got back up"....nicely written...Cher

Life in itself can be such a harsh thing. But slowly my motivation is coming back. Thanks so much for your words and prayers.

Your poem really spoke to me. I can really identify with your feelings. You captured such emotion and beautiful imagery in few words. Remember it is never too late to re-invent yourself.

thanks so much! I really appreciate that, and yes...I'm trying to tell myself that everyday.

Poetry is what is lost in translation.
