    At The Bottom

Shattered glass from empty bottles fill the floor.
Each shard pushes deeper and deeper with every step.

You need to bleed to feel that you're still alive, to know your hearts still beating. Yet your beating heart is louder than waves crashing against the ocean floor.

Scream a little louder, maybe someone will hear you this time. But the sounds are only covered up as the water swallows you whole.

You sink to the bottom hoping to get this over with. As you hit the bottom you realize this is where you've always been.

Always at the bottom of everything. You fight to try to make it back to the top, just to fall one more time. While you're laying there, in the dark, at the bottom, in the cold, you know you're alone.

    And no one...
    will ever...
    find you...
