BAG OF TROUBLE

I bought a bag of trouble
at the corner of 33rd.
The place was buzzing
people coming as
lookouts spread the
word.

I bought a bag of depression
insomnia, lack of life.
The bag was small
the price was high.
I should of thought
twice.

I bought a bag of trouble
at the age of 17.
I thought I was cool,
I thought I was down
my life had just begun.

I bought a bag of trouble
just the other day.
My product is different
my thoughts have changed
and now im 41.

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.

John F. Kennedy (1917-1963) Thirty-fifth President of the USA
