Barack Obama

Barack Obama

Barack Obama
I’m so excited
And in a state of reflection,
As I sit and think
About the presidential election.
First black president
Barack Obama,
Now our lives
Have a little less drama.
Drama over what
Our lives would’ve been,
If we would have elected
McCain and Palin.
I just don’t understand
Or how it could be,
That they wanted Palin
To run the country.
It’s funny to me
And to tell you the truth,
Shouldn’t the VP
Be smarter than you.
But its whateva
The thought has passed,
We finally have a black president
Freedom at last.
And let’s not forget
The woman behind the man,
Without Michelle Obama
Barack could not stand.
You can tell the love
That the family share,
And now running the country
Is what they must bare.
It’s going to be hard
And it’s going to be rough,
Cleaning up Bush’s mess
Is going to be tough.
But he can do it
He has it in mind,
That this country will get better
But only with time.
We have to support them
And do our part,
Barack being elected
Is just the first start.
A start to a country
That can overcome,
All the destruction
That Bush has done.
We will get there
But two terms is what he needs,
To amend the alliances
And bring jobs up to speed.
Right now I just pray
That God keeps them close,
And he becomes the president
Who has done the most.
Barack Obama
What can I say,
Only thank you Lord
For this amazing day.

black,What has color to do with any thing but what he stands for. Just to be called american should be suffice

Poetry is not the expression of personality but an escape from personality.
