    Best I Ever Had

You are the one who stole my world.
You see the world through my eyes,
You know my heart, you know my soul.
A love that has lasted through the centuries past.
    Forever love
A promise made, bound by the gods
    The world has changed
But my love for you remains the same
You are the best I've ever had.

You can see the pain in my eyes
The tears as they fall reach your heart
    The seperation of our Souls
Has tormented us through the centuries
Days have passed and our time is coming soon
What once was lost has now been found
Your still the best I've ever had

My temple has been empty for so long
Waiting for you to come claim this heart of mine
Your warrior soul conquering the lands
Take your chariot home to me
Ravage me, my body, my temple
As I surrender to your sword of passion
    Your everlasting love
Your the best I've ever had

As I ride my steed through the forest
Away from the city, the temples here on high
The gods hear my cries for you
    The seperation I cannot take
For Hera I am and I shall rein
The return of my love is everlasting
You are the best I've ever had

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.

John F. Kennedy (1917-1963) Thirty-fifth President of the USA
