Bi-Polar

Poem Commentary

On Being Bi-Polar what you actually see.

Bi-Polar

Wake to a bright new sunshine

Flowers blooming, birds chirping

The suns’ ray beaming darkly on the pavement

Pool water breathlessly awaiting hot bodies

cooled in its depths, kids playing

The green grass grows, patches of dirt, seeping through

The sun is shining yet,

The darkness has swallowed me whole

Utopian bliss shattered. Is this a personal demon or are you including the poor souls who live in the agony of not knowing they don't know? I guess the darkness makes us unable to see if there is really anyone there or knowing how many there might be. I liked how the ending just suddenly happens, like a bipolar episode. You never know when it is going to happen and then it suddenly does.

Poetry is when an emotion has found its thought and the thought has found words.

Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
