    Bitter Lies

And the bitter kiss that I thought was sweet...
Was actually poison that burned my veins.
The sweet extacy of betrayal and tears started to show.
As I looked at the mirror all too slow.
And saw your face that was once so happy...
But faded like the hot melting wax.
Maybe it was I who defeated me.
Or your words that hurt like stinging bullets.
The bullets that burned every motion in my body.
And to think that I once had everything with you.
It turned into nothing but distance and lies.
There is nothing now to heal these wounds.
A bandage is too small to fix these pieces.
How stupid was I?...to get shot by him and fall into you.
Well, I shot back (way too late), I don't know if I hit.
It was a miss...As I licked the poison from my lips.
That is direct,...as I begin to feel (cold) numb.
And how so dumb of me not to see this betrayal.
Unfold to what kills right in front of me.
Like an act of insult...(way too worst).
As you smile, I die, not even seeing through your lies.
With the last smell of your poisonous perfume.......
I fall (collapse) to the ground...
Which somewhat reminds me of me in the sense of being cold....
    Trampled on and not even...breathing.

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.

    Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
