    Black Man I Am

    Black man I am

My brothers my brothers it's time we make a change
To teach all young brothers they too, can be on the New York stock exchange
We have so many leaders’, mentors, who claim to represent.
One brother stood tall and became our President.

So let’s throw away the myth about us brothers
And stand strong and proud alongside our mothers
We are a proud people built to survive
No longer do we stand to be shuttered and deprived

So I call out all black men intelligent and wise
If you stand an listen you'll hear our young brothers cries.
We need to reach out and grasp this reaction.
Because if we don't we'll be counting our young brothers in fractions.

So here I stand ready to do my part.
To teach one, nurture one, and give them a head start
I don't want our young brothers depending on uncle Sam
Give them the knowledge the power to say BLACK MAN I AM
    .
