Bound

Bound

Piece of mind Piece of heart
You took both and gave neither
Ravaged and betrayed
Left for dead
A less than desirable out come
Mindless, heartless
A shadow soul lingers
Unrecognizable reflections stare back
Cold impassive eyes
Rigid expressionless face
Wrecked and ruined
Withdrawn
Haunting memories incapacitate as she becomes invisible
The light in the attic grows dim
One last flicker just before the darkness

both scary yet enlightning... I like the symbolisms. Nice poem, write on!

In science one tries to tell people, in such a way as to be understood by everyone, something that no one ever knew before. But in poetry, it's the exact opposite.

Franz Kafka (1883-1924) Czech writer.
