Hollow

Hollow
Here it comes
Heavy in to the night
Come on
Let’s die a little
Follow me I know the way
Enter the dragon
Ride the snake
It rules my world
A sick head
Eggshell hell
Better take cover
It’s a long ride
Polluted existence
Torn down walls
Burnt bridges
Flooded gates
You can’t make or break me
It’s already been done
No need for armor or sexual weapons
There is nothing left to use
There is nothing left to protect or destroy
Persuasive lips can not sink these hips
Slay or be slain?
Conquer and rule?
Only a fool would ask or offer
Hell is where the heart is
Nearly gone
Not much to offer
Tell me you love me
Pretend you mean it
Make me believe you mean it
Dishonesty in the honest moonlight
Rotting romance
Love and despair
Leave me for dead
Lost and wondering
No way is my way
Unfamiliar is the familiar
Unrecognizable is what I recognize
Faded beauty
Antique attitude
Outdated doll
Used and tainted
Wasted
Dispirited
Murderous inflictions
Scared and ruined
Despondent
Abject
I live in oblivion
I live in the now
Queen of depression
Bleed my poison
Endless darkness
Point of no return
Grim reality
Evil endeavors
Blind affection
My soul is filled with yearning
My esoteric existence remains
This is the end… my beautiful friend
The end
Shades of gray fade to black
Hollow

This poem is great. The lyrics to the song are 'This is the end, beautiful friend This is the end, my only friend, the end" I am not sure if you meant this to be in reference to the song in your poem. If so its also proper to correctly quote the line!

Deeply dark. Love it. "This is the end… my beautiful friend, the end" This Is Jim Morrison's line from The Doors (1966) It's proper etiquette to put other peoples poetry lines in quotes when you use them.

To have great poets there must be great audiences too.

Walt Whitman, American Poet (1819-1892)
