'Butterfly Woman'

I am the butterfly woman, raised from her cocoon,
Wings eager to fly high in the bluest of skies,
Sun caressing fragile wings as they slowly release,
Tender as a lovers touch, awakening pleasures new,
No convention will hold,
Freedom calls,
Beauty within erupting into physical form,
Unfastened from the chains within,
Soaring high in celestial joy,
I am the Butterfly woman, raised from her cocoon,

Hope reborn, life renewed.

Nice, a transformation in the light, good write, ty WS

Poetry is not an expression of the party line. It's that time of night, lying in bed, thinking what you really think, making the private world public, that's what the poet does.

Allen Ginsberg (1926-1997) U.S. poet.
