    Chick Flicks and Lonely Nights

The movies depict love like it is always just like a fairy-tale. They prey upon the hopes and dreams of little girls and women alike. These so called love stories give us false hope while plucking at our heart strings. The only problem with this formula is that those heart strings evoke sadness in those that aren't fortunate or blessed enough to truely experience a happy ending.

We pray to God for the feeling of being swept away, but it never comes. We exhaust every avenue that just might lead us to love, but it's always just another dead end.

Who is counting the countless tears we shed as we wish for the impossible? Who will grant us our mortal salvation? Who is controlling our puppet strings as we set ourselves up for more heartache?

We go through life telling everyone we know or meet what we think they want to hear. In the meantime, we are losing ourselves.... but I say good-riddance!

We are constantly selling candy in the ears of someone we hope will purchase it. Apparently honesty is over-rated. More often than not we even let them sample it only to find that you weren't what they were craving. With all of these free samples, there soon wont be any left for our proverbial soul mate. Free samples dont equal profit!!

Love is not meant to be an exchange of currency. You should never put a dollar amount on the feeling of being wanted or needed.

There eventually comes a point in every womans life where she feels as if she should do what she was created to do. However, if we are never given the chance or the right person, we not only fail at the most devine of tasks but we also feel useless and unneccessary.

I want to love and be loved. I want to feel as if I mean everything to someone. I want to be responsible for someone elses happiness for a change. But.... I fear I have failed and that ship has long sailed.

The true philosopher and the true poet are one, and a beauty, which is truth, and a truth, which is beauty, is the aim of both.
