Darkness Falls
Do you step outside and see the beauty in a slate gray sky as a thin haze of rain fills the otherwise still air?
Do you look at the stark, barren, and surreal and feel longing or wonder?
Do you watch the faceless masses and feel nothing but alone?
Then you are dreaming..the dream I spend every night and day wrapped within.
Every moment has become a restless tragedy, every heartbeat a dream dashed. I am not seeking love, nor romance..I am seeking a deeper bond, and I am sure it does exist.
I stand amidst crowds of friends and am never understood. I watch the world fall and can only bow my head. This is but a waking dream. One where reality fades and the norm falls. Where instead the darker, magical, beautiful world beneath is showing through. It is a place of wonder and sadness, of horror and joy...
Yet each day and night bring the sorrow of experiencing this dream-this journey-alone. It is a waking dream of living death, and I wish now for someone to dream it with me.
