    Poem Commentary

Our very futures rely in the offspring of our youth, it is not to be taken for granted for it is what makes us who we are.

    Children of Destiny

    Glancing through time continues

    Fleeting faces seen unheard

Children of destiny born among us

    Fulfilling their goals

Saving our wretched world from its own demise

    Wars fought and battles raged

    Lives lost and souls saved

After the fire rages and consumes

    New life sprouts greener, fuller

The children of destiny are the roots of new growth

Times of change are upon us

It nears so you can almost taste its glory

Will it be a blessing or a curse?

Will it be a beginning or an end?

Only time can tell what lies ahead and fate holds

    For the children of destiny

I was left wondering what the children of destiny are. I think that was done well. The suspense worked for it. Also, after skimming your bio, I was wondering if it's about your kids?

It's about all our children, our future. What we instil in them is the most important thing, because it is they who live on and carry on our own stories, not us.

I am humbled again. I like this one even more than your last one. Very powerful meaning and the imagery is used well.

The true philosopher and the true poet are one, and a beauty, which is truth, and a truth, which is beauty, is the aim of both.

Ralph Waldo Emerson, American Poet (1803-1882)
