Clipping

Clipping in a newspaper: Star Light, Star Bright be strong, be tender and be
true. Warm this heart through this life.

Many respond but only one leads to a wonderful afternoon of delights.
He is my man. He fights to take a stand.
For one Nation under God with liberty and justice for all.

Refrain: Clipping of a moment: Pieces and shapes seized and etched.
These shadows’ and flashes of a face. Moment beating its own pace of passion.

He has gone away. Praying and hoping he comes back most any day.
To seize a moment of afternoon delights to store away because distance is not our way.

Sharing my man with my Nation as share each other in the heat of the moment.
Beating in the distance of our conscience it is known he will give his life for the unsung song in the souls of each person, nation or race.

Refrain: Clipping of a moment: Pieces and shapes seized and etched.
These shadows’ and flashes of a face. Moment beating its own pace of passion.

He is a “”Grand Moment””. It is him by nature.
In the background like a stealth fighter. Light-footed like a feather.
He makes chaos smell like a Rose unfetter.

It is never good bye but until we meet again in this life or the hereafter.
To share my man with all you is the GRANDEST unconditional love of all.

Refrain: Clipping of a moment: Pieces and shapes seized and etched.
These shadows’ and flashes of a face. Moment beating its own pace of passion.

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
