colors

brilliant, resilient, and enthusiastic shades
colors of light that could never fade
surrounded tonight by lights that played
remarkable, residual effects they made
unforgettable messages relayed
unspoken languages entered my being and stayed
paused from life and momentarily delayed
lost in beauty that i’ve obeyed
trapped in blackness that has been grayed
