    CONDEMNED

He looked inside his heart and found no love.
A gaze into his soul revealed no peace,
He glimpsed within to find out who he was.
‘Till by death’s angel will he be set free.

A fitting end for he who’s claimed by hell,
There is no crying, no regrets are found,
A troubled spirit, cursing as he fell,
Just darkness born of evil that abounds.
A life is shaped by what one has perceived
The lack of scruples is an empty cave
Life’s worth is judged by what one has achieved
Love’s absence digs a man a barren grave

Fortunate is he who is blessed to live,
Wealthy’s the one who has more love to give.

    i like very nice! congrats!

Poetry is not an expression of the party line. It's that time of night, lying in bed, thinking what you really think, making the private world public, that's what the poet does.

    Allen Ginsberg (1926-1997) U.S. poet.
