    D-day

    beautiful country in oppression
    skies turn dark
    seas turn violent
nervous young paratroopers drop behind enemy line
a ghost from Pearl is awaken
    and soft-ends up the shore
    the bugle sounds
the shore emerges from the smoke
    Atlantic wall stands strong
    Utah falls first
    Omaha was 2ed in line
under fire as soon as they hit shore Bradly troops feel left and right
the dempsey took gold, juno, and sword
    brothers push on
    bombs blow them in half
the cry for there mothers as they pass from this world
blood turns the ocean red and calm
the allies showed true courage on the day known as
    D
