    Dad

You came to me in a dream last night .

Like clouds in the wind on a star covered sky.

In the distance Twinkling in and out of sight.

Not unlike a feeling you just cant describe.

On the tip of your tounge yet so deep inside.

But not like the light of a full moon at night.

I saw you standing there you were dim yet bright.

Your voice I could hardly hear but felt in my soul.

It was as if there was something you needed me to know.

Then words appeared in my mind saying Son its ok you can let go.

Then you gently drifted above me like a fog in the night

Just out of reach yet still in my of sight.

And thats how I seen you in my dream Last Night!

Poetry is not an expression of the party line. It's that time of night, lying in bed, thinking what you really think, making the private world public, that's what the poet does.

    Allen Ginsberg (1926-1997) U.S. poet.
