    Damaged Goods

You stepped to me so casually and offered your heart as a gift but
non-too soon after I took it from you, you let it all slip.

" I'm damaged goods darlin, the freshness date on me has expired. I'll
dance with you in the flames of passion; I will be your mentor of
desire. But beware I will compare you to other lovers; I want you to
be for me not only a girlfriend but also a mother. One to comfort me in my time of need, an endless need indeed, and upon your compassion my insecurities will feed."

" Get back in the kitchen I have no time for your bitchin, I'm
hungry and want my dinner now. I won't call you for days on end, and
when I do it will be at three am after a night of binge drinking with
my friends. It won't be a pretty sight, I'm sure we'll get into a
hellacious fight, but ohhhhhhhhhhhh.... the make up sex will be great. I'm just hoping by the time I'm sober, the trick I met at the club won't
come over and to work is the only thing that is late."

" I'm damaged good as I've said; I like my sandwich on white bread,
cut the crush off please. I'll run my game on you, and before it is
through you'll start to feel your heart bleed. But you can't blame
me, I'm wild and free, not an animal to cage. You'll doubt yourself,
crying tears of rage, feeling the shame course through your veins.
You'll ask questions that have no answers and in the darkness I will
creep between your sheets feasting upon you soul like a cancer. But
ahhhh, my dear, you've created your own fear, the receipt you forgot
    to keep."

" You'll listen to me whine, beg, plead, grovel at your feet, and
when you'll forgiven me yet again, I'll bend you over the kitchen
table and reintroduce you to sin, and you will realize just where I
have been. I'll whisper in your ear the niceness you long to hear,
pledging my undying love and devotion, perpetuating the cycle,
    manipulating your emotions."

" Damaged goods am I, which I cannot deny, I've been battered,
broken down and abused. I've loved once before with all my heart now
there is nothing left to lose. So you see ain't nothing in this world
is for free, there is forever a price to pay. So as long as you are
going to believe in my lies, I'll smile and tell you 'I love you'
seeing it in your eyes, and when I leave you, which I will, you
won't get the benefit of why or the satisfaction of a good bye."

Thank you for the comment and I am glad you were able to get out of that situation. Love is not suppose to hurt in any way shape or form. Peace to you and good luck in all you do.

And who made you the price labeler!? I set my own cost and mark up is contingent on the buyer. Excellent

No matter how long I hear this same situation it amazes me why women would put up with this but who am I to judge I guess you get what your heart truely wants Too Bad...

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
